ABOUT ME:
My name is Amanda Earley. I was born in Atlanta Georgia and lived there until going to New Orleans to Tulane University for College. I was one of the Katrina Class and so my life took some turns and twists that have led me all over the world. I have been a student, a bar manager, a translator, a volunteer, and a business analyst assistant for a international conveyor belt company. I have lived in Atlanta, GA, New Orleans, LA, Portland, OR, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and Granada, Spain, and next year, Washington, DC.
I recently graduated from Tulane with a degree in Latin American Studies and International Development with a minor in Brazilian Studies. I am currently studying for my Master’s degree at Georgetown in the Center for Latin American Studies in the E. Walsh School of Foreign Service.
ABOUT GLOBAL GIRL:
I have created this blog to discuss, debate, express and write about my and other people’s experiences being a citizen of the world. Although travel does play a big role, this is not just a travel blog.
Global Girl Blog creates a space to discuss and debate people’s experiences as citizens of the world. Many of our lives no longer (and maybe should no longer) fit inside country borders. This new global citizenry connects people from diverse backgrounds, encouraging others to see the world in new ways and promoting an understanding of humanity’s interconnected nature.
