A really great friend that I have known from high school spent five months living in a tribe in the Ecuadorian Amazon while attending Florida State University. For weeks she woke up at four in the morning to make the yucca flour in order to make the bread for the tribe (that was the women’s responsibility), and she washed her clothes by beating it on a rock in the river. One day after weeks had past living in a totally different world or universe she goes to a neighborhood city in Ecuador to get a feel of the city once again for the day. It just so happened that she ran into two girls who we went to our high school. Now that might not be so weird until one finds out that I went to a small high school of 90 seniors in Atlanta, GA. It is so funny how things work out like that.
